Restaurant Rumormill
If this post on Chowhound is correct, Susur Lee is leaving Toronto for New York. There are also rumors that Susur will close, and reopen at a later date after some renovations and with a revamped menu.
I’m quite interested to see if there is any truth to these rumors. I’m also a bit sad about the prospect; I turn the big 3-0 in December and was hoping to go to Susur as my birthday gift.
I’m positive we’ll be able to find another great restaurant instead. I’ve got months to pick one, after all. But I guess I may have to travel to New York in order to enjoy one of Susur Lee’s creations!
2 years ago we left Toronto for Ottawa, loving it here so far! Go, go go to Susur before he leaves! It is worth the price! Or try Lee for a meal a little easier on the pocketbook!
